One tap. One plausible name. Zero ceremony.

Install the coffee-counter identity machine on this device.
We don't need your name. NamePlease creates a temporary identity for the coffee counter — locally, quickly and with just enough nonsense to make it fun.
When you would rather not give out your real one.

Sometimes a name is a name. Sometimes it deserves a little production value.
One tap. One plausible name. Zero ceremony.
Eight candidates compete while you pretend this decision matters.
First name, surname and a coffee-counter persona. Completely temporary. Obviously.
Let NamePlease make questionable decisions on your behalf.
NamePlease can become the tiny bridge between your phone and the till.
Generate a name, then hand your phone over or use the barista screen. No account and no profile required.
Turn the result into a clean full-screen display. Great for a counter tablet, or simply for making the name impossible to miss.
For a two-device workflow, create a QR card after generating a name. A customer can scan it from a barista-facing screen and continue on their own device.
Scan this card to open NamePlease.

A tiny bit of privacy, a tiny bit of theatre, and absolutely no reason to explain why your flat white is being called Nigel.
The cup is the face of NamePlease. It is intentionally simple: a coffee cup, a pair of sunglasses, and just enough attitude. In the app it reacts through movement and timing rather than changing its artwork, so the mascot stays consistent with the approved brand mark.
Names help cafés match drinks to customers when several similar orders are being prepared. It's a practical little system — but it doesn't mean you need to make the moment your personal biography.
Maybe you value a little privacy. Maybe you're travelling. Maybe you're meeting someone. Maybe you simply want to spend seven minutes being called someone else. NamePlease keeps the idea harmless and playful.
Everything needed to generate your alias lives in the browser. You choose a style and NamePlease selects a first name from its local database. Your current result and preferences stay on your device.
NamePlease does not require an account to generate a name. The generator is designed to work locally, including offline after installation as a PWA. The app does not need to know who you are.
NamePlease deliberately favours names that sound ordinary enough to survive the walk from the till to the pickup counter. You can also choose short names of five letters or fewer, allow repeats, or open the wheel for a little more theatre.
The joke works better when the app doesn't need your real identity. There is no reason to create an account just to invent a name for a cappuccino. NamePlease is designed to keep the generator local and lightweight.
Barista Mode turns your chosen alias into a simple, oversized display. It is designed for the real-world moment when someone needs to see the name clearly without navigating your phone.
Yes. NamePlease is a progressive web app. On supported browsers you can install it to your home screen and use the cached application when you are offline.
NamePlease is entertainment for ordinary café interactions. It is not intended for impersonation, fraud, evading identity checks, or any situation where a real legal identity is required.
Does it store my real name? No — it never needs it.
Can I use it offline? Yes, once the PWA assets have been cached.
Can I choose short names? Yes. Short means five letters or fewer.
Can names repeat? That's configurable in Settings.
